Does anyone know when Lloyds first started applying PPI to credit cards? I've just received a settlement from them and they say they have gone back to 1987. I think I probably had my card 10 years before this. What's the earliest I might have been paying PPI?

I have written to companies regarding ppi, while I have documentary evidence that I am owed ppi, the response from the lender has been that it was sold through an intermediary broker. I cannot see any broker name on the paperwork, Anyone know how I can make/ request the loan company supply me the broker name?

Mine was with the old Midland
