Why are Skipton saying "You can only open one Lifetime ISA per tax year."
I've searched around and surprised this hasn't been asked more already. How are you supposed to transfer an existing LISA if you can't open two in one year? I thought the rules surrounded paying in to accounts, not opening them anyway.

Well performing Stocks & Shares ISAs
I've recently invested some money in S&S ISAs via Cavendish/Fidelity. I've spread my investment across 4 different funds and am looking for capital growth. I'm a basic rate tax payer. Can anyone recommend any S&S ISA funds that have performed well for them over the years? Or a website that makes it easy to compare funds…

Hargreaves Lansdown Vantage ISA (Investment Trust) - tips on minimising charges?
Switched recently from Alliance Trust Savings following recommendations on another thread. £45 pa maximum annual management charge very reasonable, but I'm sure they'll be wanting to make up for that with other charges. Does anyone investing in Investment Trusts through HL have any tips on how best to arrange things to…

AJBell LISA & charges
I have been thinking of starting a S&S LISA with AJBell. I can see that they charge a 0.25% custody fee, but if I was to invest in one fund using a monthly payment plan does that mean that as well as the 0.25% per annum I would also be paying £1.50 a month to buy into the fund? Their charges page says there is no charge…

LISA investments and returns
Hi, As the LISA is nearly 9 months old I was wondering what choices other stocks & shares investors have been making and the resulting early performance achieved? Given favourable market conditions it would be hard not to have achieved a positive result. We are investing for 20+ years to 60 and our LISAs are with Nutmeg on…

trending cash isa rates
Does anyone know if the rates for cash ISAs peak before or after the new financial year? I have an existing fixed ISA, which I will need to transfer. Would it be beneficial to wait until after April 6th?

ISA transfer from Vanguard to Coventry not possible
Hello, I am trying to transfer a Stocks and Shares ISA from Vanguard to a cash ISA with Coventry BS without any success. Vanguard are saying they are poised to do the transfer electronically and don't have a cheque book. Coventry BS say they only accept cheques for stocks and share ISA providers. Do I have grounds for…

Does opening an ISA count as contributing towards it?
Hi all. Would opening a new ISA count as contributing towards it? Consider this hypothetical situation: 1) I open my first ISA in Tax Year 1 2) I open my second ISA in Tax Year 2 but wish to contribute only to my first ISA (bearing in mind that I am only able to contribute to one of each type of ISA per Tax Year) and do…

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure!
Intending to start a couple of managed fund investment ISA's for the first time with £20K into each (myself and my wife). Was settling for Halifax Managed Fund 4, but then came across Vanguard Life Strategy (60% Equity). Halifax including the fund management works out at 0.69% a year, Vanguard 0.37% for the same. With my…

Hold up with Skipton/HL processing LISA transfer?
Just wondering whether you'd sit & wait or get on the phone/write off to someone (Skipton/HL) about this. Bit of a timeline for you... My brother sent off a S&S LISA transfer form to Skipton to transfer from HL to Skipton (cash LISA) which would've probably been sent off the week beginning 20 Nov. At this point he hadn't…

ISA 17/18 tax year
Guys, I just checked my existing ISA (Which pays a paltry interest @ Natwest) and realised I last invested in it in April. Does this mean I am ok to open a new ISA as i've not invested in one this year? Additionally can I also transfer my existing one? I am looking at opening a LISA cash ISA at Skipton and chucking the…

Moneybox LISA
Moneybox (the 'save the change' investment app) recently launched an investment LISA. Fees: 0.45% platform fee plus £12pa (£1 per month). Provider fee (0.22-0.24% approx) No exit fees mentioned. More interestingly, their FAQ says that they accept transfers of existing LISAs and also says you can transfer HTB ISAs (worth…

LISA Plan 2017-2018
So I started a Help to buy ISA in Feb 2017, and have been saving the maximum amount since each month, so about £3.2k in it. On top of that I regularly add into just a normal saving account all for the purpose of buying a home late 2018 / early 2019. I have just learned from this site about Lifetime ISAs (LISA) and wanted…
