Can you play the XE market within an ISA?
Are there funds/products you can buy within a S&S ISA which are basically tracking a specific currency-pair exchange rate? If so does this type of product have a name I can search for to do some research? I'd like to spread my ISA investments around different areas than just normal stock market stuff.

Would it be worth putting money in an ISA even at 0%?
I was thinking a bit about this the other day. You get your £15k allowance to put into an ISA and right now cash ISAs are paying virtually nothing, so you might think "I'll put it in a 123 account" or similar. But if in 5 years time interest rates suddenly perk up, suddenly you have £75k or money sitting waiting to earn…

The Family BS - Market Tracker Cash ISA
Hi guys, Wondering if the answer is obvious regarding new investment/subscription with this ISA (current and future), in relation to the application form. I was primarily using it to transfer previous year's money into, but haven't decided about current year's investment. The form says: Opening Investment I apply to…

I can't contribute to both up to the personal allowance ? Also if the new one has had even 1p transferred into it, am I right in thinking I…

Hi all I currently have a HTB Cash ISA with Virgin and understand I cannot pay into another cash ISA which is fine. However, I believe that my remaining tax allowance can be put towards a Stocks/Shares ISA. My question was, has anyone had an experiences with Stocks and Shares ISA? I know there is risk. Property ISA
I recently inherited some money and am considering what to do with it. Cash ISAs don't seem to offer anything better than other savings accounts but I came across something called a Property ISA which appears to be similar to a stocks and shares ISA but with returns from rent from the property. Does anyone have any…

Dipping in and out of S&S ISA
Will shortly have £20,000 to invest over a short period. If I invest the maximum £15,640 into my S&S ISA and then sell and withdraw that amount in March, can I then invest the maximum again before the end of this current tax year?

Mechanics of Stocks and Shares ISA
Hi all, I am coming into receipt of a few shares from my company scheme and I am thinking of holding onto these shares. Can I shelter these shares under a S & S ISA? If yes, how do I go about it? Thanks!

ISAs and probate
Hi All. I am in the process of dealing with my wife's estate, and she had a number of ISAs. As I looked after the mortgage, I didn't have any significant savings so the world of ISAs is new to me. I understand that I can now transfer from my wife's ISA to one of my own, thus avoiding the annual limit on investment in ISAs.…

Planning for the future - 3 year plan
Very shortly, at 33, I'll finally be debt-free (aside from car and mortgage). It's taken long enough, but we'll finally be able to start putting some real money aside. I need to check my priorities are in the right place, which is where you guys come in. I'm already contributing into a final salary pension, and my partner…

Stocks and Shares ISA
Hello I have had a stocks and shares ISA with shares in UK growth trust, European growth trust and US growth trust. It has increased steadily over the past 10 years. My question is should I cash in the UK and or European units on the basis of Brexit happening in March and share values falling? Has anyone taken financial…

£10k to save - Regular Savings, Cash ISA, HTB ISA or Split ISA?
I think I will have about £10k to save this year. I haven't opened any ISAs yet this year. I do plan on eventually buying a house. I could go for a 5% Regular Savings account which seems to be the highest interest at the moment, but then I don't have the tax free allowance in future years. I was thinking my best option…

Opened a second ISA by mistake and I don't know what to do?
I keep asking similar questions on here, and I apologise if it's too many but I keep getting passed here, there and everywhere about this problem and I could do with some advice. So I opened a Cash ISA with First Direct in 2015 and I've used it quite a bit, although I've had nothing in it for about a month or two. Now…

Hargreaves Lansdown charges
I've had a HL Vantage account for quite a few years now, currently with two funds in it. I remember getting a letter a couple of years ago informing me of the new pricing structure. I remember the letter saying that I wouldn't be any worse off but from reading this forum, it would seem that HL charges are quite high and…

I accidentally opened a second ISA, now have to contact HM Revenue?
I'm just wondering if anybody is familiar with the process or anything? I'm a little worried. I opened a Cash ISA with First Direct February 2015 (Tax year 2014/2015) and since then I haven't opened another one. However, the account was empty and has been for a few months, I thought that I would be able to open another one…

Paying into Cash ISA and Help to Buy ISA at the same time...?
Hi MSE Forum, Am new here but have an important question... I had a cash ISA with Lloyds from the tax year 2015/16, which was full. Then earlier in this current tax year I decided to open a help to buy ISA with Santander, which I did, and am now regularly paying £200 a month into. At the same time as I opened the help to…

Can I keep my unused H2B ISA after buying?
Hi, I opened a H2B Isa within the first week and have been saving the full monthly amount at 4% interest through Halifax. We have now bought a house and complete at the end of the month. The house we ended up buying was over the 250k threshold for the bonus and I was fortunate enough that I didn't need to withdraw anything…

I have two cash ISAs, is this breaking the law?
So around February 2015, I opened a Cash ISA account with First Direct and over that time I've saved quite a bit of money with them. Although the account is now empty but I'd like to start using it again. So I know that account was opened in tax year 2014/2015 I'm assuming? As it was before April. Anyway, about a month…

Monthly Bonus Payments on LISA - penalising regular savers?
I'm having trouble answering a question on how the monthly bonus on the LISA will be paid. Originally, they announced that the bonus would be paid annually, which made it quite simple. Pay in £4k over the year (lump or dripfed), and you get your £1k. Now, under pressure from providers, they have changed this to a monthly…
