Does anyone know how much, on average, an architect in London would charge please for a small job, ie planning permission. The Council's planning officer said it was fairly simple and I could do it myself, but I'm not confident. Do architects normally charge an hourly/daily/per job rate? Thanks.

Got two quotes for a patio of around 43-45 square metres. One says bed of compacted aggregate to depth of 3 ins, blind area with lean mix of sand and cement. We have bought a 10.8 shower which requires a cable upgrade. Could anybody give me an idea of a cable run of no more than 15metres from under the stairs up to the loft and down to the new shower.I understand the carpet has to be lifted etc. We are in southern england.
