Hello. :) I feel a bit stupid posting about this as I'm 21 and I must sound so stupid not knowing about skin care routines.lol. but anyway... My skin is very oily all over. I look like I have a permanent shine to my face. I'm surprised people don't use it as a mirror, it's that shiny. :) My skin is very acne prone but is…

Hi,I get my monthly contact lenses from specsavers using their "inclusive" monthly contact lens package which includes the offer to purchase a pair of glasses from their designer range for £85 instead of £125. Question about dying hair
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I wasn't sure where to place it. I normally use Clairol Nice n Easy hair colour, the one that washes out after 8 washes. I do have a bit of grey but I'm not really brave enough to do a permanent myself. I used to have it coloured at the hairdressers but as they are charging about £40…

how to work out distance on an exercise bike
Got me an Pro-fitness exercise bike from ebay, has a gismo that tells you speed, distance, calories, time etc but I don't know if the distance is in miles or kilometres, is there anyway of telling? If I use it for 15 minutes I 'travel' 3 but 3 what? It says my average speed is 10.8. I'd feel happier if I knew I was doing 3…

Sorting out my teeth!
My teeth are a mess, and it's really gettin me down. :( I admit that it's entirely my own fault, they've suffered years of abuse and neglect and now I feel I've finally ruined them. Basically they're all stained, crooked and even starting to go bad. The front teeth have a green tinge to them around the edges, and cavities…

Quandry over BCG
I've just been sent consent forms for my 14 year old twins to have the BCG vaccination in 2 weeks. I didn't realise it's not given to all children at school any more  Apparently they've been offered it because I was born in Singapore, however I've never been back (my father was stationed at the RAF base there)…

Hairspray residue
Just thought I'd share a discovery for anyone who suffers with hairspray residue after washing their hair - like I used to. If you add a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda to your regular shampoo it gets rid of it! Make sure you rinse well of course!;)

Eye Q fish oils.
Hi, I'm really tempted to buy some Eye Q fish oils to see if they would help my five year old son. He is a very lively little boy, he is very bright and bouncy but seems to have trouble concentrating at times and I have troublre getting him to listen to me sometimes. He is probably just being a normal five year old but I…

Does anyone know how long you are supposed to continue cleaning a piercing with antiseptic for after you have had it done? I had my ears done today as my old piercing which I had done about 30 years ago had closed over, and although I was told to clean it 3 times a day and given stuff to clean it with, I forgot to ask how…

Tesco Opticians
Back in December I went to Tesco Opticians to try contact lenses for the first time, because I was going on a skiing holiday so it was easier to wear ski goggles. I had a voucher for a free eye test, and then paid £10 for a contact lens fitting, and had a free trial pair. Went back saying they were great, and paid about…

Dentist while pregnant
Do I really get all treatment is free? I have an appointment next Monday. I don't think I'll need anything doing, hopefully not even a filling. On the point of fillings, if I do have to have one, am I allowed to have an injection to numb the pain?

Reglazing glasses cost cutting discussion area.
I would like to re-use my rimless frames and get new lenses fitted. Has anyone already done their homework and found a list of re-glazing companies please? The main site thread doesn't mention this option. You can clearly get cheap complete glasses, but it if you want to keep your £200 frames it may be cheaper to reglaze.…
