British Gas out of contract prices!?
hi need some advice plz! we have just bought our house from our previous landlord. He had been using British Gas for electric and gas on a business contract. We bought the property on 23rd April 2013, and decided to go with Swalec, thinking there would not be a problem.(!) After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, and objections…

Question for eOn company representative regarding meter reading when switching tariff
My current eOn energy tariff (Fixed Price Saver June 2013) expires tomorrow so today I switched over to their Fixed 2 Year v3 plan. My online account says the end date of the Fixed Price Saver June 2013 is 31/05/13 so I selected 01/06/2013 as the date that I want the new tariff to start. I am wondering if I should have…

My Eon tariff is the cheapest in the country according to SP
I am on Eon warm assist tariff and am quite happy with Eon. I've just had a call from Scottish Power, I thought that was all stopped, and he asked the usual questions about my energy supplier. I told him that he was wasting his time and he could not beat my tariff but if he wanted to waste his time to go ahead. I'm retired…

Fixed price tariffs not genuine from Npower!
I'm on a dual fuel (gas & elec) 'Energy Online January 2014' tariff with Npower. When I signed up for this it was on the basis that the prices were fixed until January 2014. Today I have a letter from Npower announcing that they are increasing the prices they will charge me from 1st July this year; gas goes up by 9.8% and…

Economy7 wiring
Hi, I am new to the forum and have been reading many posts about economy7 meter reading problems as I experienced some when we moved at the end of last year to a Victorian house that has some old and some more recent wiring. I have not had economy7 before so I am a bit confused as to how it works. My question is how does…

have we been overcharged for gas? faulty meter?
We have over the past year or so been seeing bills which were much higher than expected. I chalked it down to price rises, but the recent bill we had has made me stop and think something is up. I was hoping someone here may be able to offer some advice? So we have just received our bill for three months from January 15th…

EON standing charge increase for a change we did not request
Help! When we moved into our house 6 years ago we were charged for our house and our garage (30 yards away with a different address) as one bill and one standing charge. After a year or so Eon said they would prefer it if we had a separate bill for our garage, but they assured us we would never get a standing charge for…

Switching - why is my tariff not available to select?
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and what you did about it... I'm trying to do a comparison of all electricity only tariffs as I know that I am currently paying too much and want to find the best deal for my usage. However, none of the switching sites I have been to (uswitch, energy helpline,…

EDF Energy Overcharging…. Now Resolved.
I put a post up a short while ago seeking advice after I had discovered my energy supplier had been overcharging me ever since I joined them six months before. After fighting to have the overcharged amount refunded I was offered £60 as an apology. I didn’t think this was adequate as I’d had to spend a considerable amount…

Ovo credit refund
I've seen lots of posts about ovo and refunds, but none answering mine. Basically, I've built up a credit of £80 which I'd rather have in my pocket than sitting with them. I asked for a refund, but they wouldn't give me the full amount as they have a policy for DD users which require that you remain in credit by one months…
