Are there any debts that you 'don't count' as debts?

But I had an interesting conversation with my husband who wants to get a new car when the payments finish on the current one (we finish paying for the two cars in Sep/Oct and they will both be 7 years old). Re-possessed 10 years ago - how can the bank still chase me for the loss they made wh
How unfair is it that the bank can not only re-possess my home but can expect me to pay the shortfall due to them selling it for a pittance ? I only owed them £1,000 at the time. They sold a (at 1999 property values) £30,000 property for about £8,000, now they expect me to cough up the £12,000 ! Surely they were…
