Missing MBNA statement?
Has any MoneySaver been caught out by a missing MBNA statement recently? Last month's never arrived in the post and my "non official" online statement showed £0.00 minimum payment due. No usual email reminder either. The next day I was clobbered with a £12 late fee and my 0% forfeited. Two phone calls later got the 0%…

Capital One
Back in December last I sold my house. I paid off the balance on my Capital One card about £1,100. At the same time the account was closed. I have had since several letters from Cap One stating I owed £70 odd because of late payment etc. I have tried to ring them and discuss the matter but the chap on the other end spoke…

no interest charged for betting websites transactions?
Does anyone have any experience with using a credit card to fund a betting account with companies like willhill or betfair and them NOT being charged interest from the date of the transaction. In other words, the transaction has been classed as a normal purchase and NOT as a cash advance? Many thanks.

Cotton Traders Website hacked
Just read on news that Cotton Traders online site had been hacked earlier this year and the details of 38,000 customers stolen. I must have been one of these customers. I dealt with this company online during April and May and was contacted by my Card Company that they had detected a suspicious transaction on my account…

Which order to pay off Credit Cards?
Hiya all I'm a newbie - once i was a dreadful spender, and now I want to be a saver. I earn £60k a year, and yet only have about £200 a month left after all my outgoings. I've been very good this last few months - cancelled all needless things (saved about £100), and got new deals on subscription things. And next month I…

Credit card juggle + earning interest and cashback too! Will it work?
I’ve recently remortgaged and got some extra cash to do some much needed home improvements and the extra money is now sitting in my savings account waiting for me to pull my finger out and start to get things done. But then I started to think about making some pennies from it whilst getting my home improvements done. My…

Goldfish - £10 M&S voucher for £100 spend
Hi I got a mailer from Goldfish the other day for a free £10 voucher for £100 spend on anything on the card. I've not had the card long and don't use it more than once a month so this maybe the trigger. I only got it for the quidco free money. The voucher is done automatically apparently. Keep a look out Goldfish card…

MBNA Attempt To Double Interest Rates (Again)
Just a warning that the MBNA are attempting to double the interest rate of their "loyal" customers again. They did it with me last year and I got it reversed. This time they are being a little bit more sneeky. When I phoned them, the message automatically said thank you for accepting your new terms and conditions, however…

Refused Interest rate decrease
I've been with my CC provider for over 5 years. I've never been late on a payment. My debt on the card has slowly increased over the years and I now have about 5K debt on the card. I phoned them recently to request that they reduce the interest rate that I'm currently being charged. I didn't think this unreasonable as it's…

When to 're-apply' for a credit card.
I applied for a post office credit card a month ago and was turned down. I do not need the card, but I’d like it so I can do a soft balance transfer to lower the interest I am paying on a career development loan. My money situation is not bad, probably what you’d expect for someone that in a graduate job (ok money, still…

Any change at all of reclaiming PPI?
My husband signed up for an MBNA credit card whilst at a bike show around five years ago - he just had to - it had a nice photo of a bike on it!!
