HSBC app notifications - money in and out?
Hi MSE, I've just had push notifications for HSBC app enabled on my android device, so that HSBC tell me when I've got money going in or out of my accounts. That's in theory - in practice it's only notifying me of money going out, even though it should do both. Has anyone got notifications going both ways? Within the app I…

Can any bank app show instant notification of Halifax Clarity credit card spend?
The Halifax app only notifies of debit card purchases not credit card. Can some other bank's app do this using the open banking data sharing or does that not work with credit cards? Is Curve the only option in this case?

Which current account safest for ebay's managed payments?
Ebay's new managed payments process is requesting bank accouunt details before I can list items for sale. Paypal is no longer allowed for selling. Users have been invited since last year and there are some real horror stories for those who changed to the new system and their banks closing accounts. The presumption is these…

Pending transaction (who’s at fault?)
Hi there guys and gals. I’ve just got a quick question that I hope can be answered by the people on this forum. I currently work at a petrol station and we have feature that gives you three option to “pay at the pump” instead of coming into the shop which is a good idea in theory but sometimes we have the issue of every…

I don't recognize any of this, I've never claimed anything. I have a bank account, mortgage, and credit card with them. I've been with Barclays for 10+ years.…

Best joint account for household bills
I’m after opening a joint account with my partner to make paying bills etc easier. The account will mainly be used to just have the household bills coming out of it, mortgage, council tax, electric etc. It will be an additional new account rather than switching another one, so I’m guessing we won’t be entitled to any of…

A pilot scheme in eight towns across the UK will test new ways to boost access to cash in local communities – with measures including local shops offering cashback, new 'bank hubs' in Post Offices and more free ATMs. And while it's a small-scale trial at the moment, if successful these measures could be rolled out more…

HSBC csv/excel statement download stopped, HELP!!!
I've just found out, to my horror, that HSBC has stopped allowing retail banking to download as a csv /excel compatible file. Apparently, they stopped about a year ago. Is there a work around? Are TSB ever going to fix their online banking?
Both TSB's main domain at tsb.co.uk and their online banking at internetbanking.tsb.co.uk have been intermittently unreliable for months - the servers just stop responding for a while showing a can't find site message in the web browser. I can see them getting hammered about it on Twitter, but they just come back with…

Can you still pay in a cheque via a TSB ATM
I have a cheque with a small value, £30, can you still pay in cheques via the ATM machine on the outside of the bank. Last time I did this was when the bank was LloydsTsb branded and that was about 2013. So instead of a wasted journey, does anyone know if the TSB still operate this service?
