Second Lloyds current account
My Lloyds banking app keeps prompting me to open a second current account, but then rewords this "apply" for a second current account. Assuming there would be no problem opening it, are there any disadvantages to opening a second account? Would it have any effect on my credit score? Does it matter what I use it for? Has…

DVLA direct debits
Just canx 3 direct debits to DVLA for cars no longer owned... when you advise DVLA of SORN or selling they don’t automatically stop taking the money from your account. Stupidly I had not cancelled direct debits. I’m sure I won’t be the only person.

I've just been changed to monthly pay from weekly pay and I hate it
How do people budget when going from weekly to monthly pay? Weekly pay offered me much more flexibility to cover life's costs but now I'm struggling to make my money stretch the whole month.

How much cash do you still use and how (card) light is your wallet?
I was talking to some of my colleagues at work and discovered that many of them still use cash quite often, and carry a lot of physical cards (not only debit and credit, but also rewards cards) with them, and they don't use Google Pay/Apple Pay/mobile pay features. I don't think of myself as being the first one to adopt…

Starling Bank - Mobile Cheque Deposits
Just received an email that mobile cheque deposits are being introduced in the Starling app soon. This has been a long awaited feature for me and means I can ditch an account held elsewhere used solely for that purpose.

Barclays online banking
I simply would like to transfer some money from my 'Barclays Bank Account' to one of my Barclays Savings Accounts..... It seems the 'Barclays Bank Account' does not allow you to do this? Was anybody referred to switch to Nationwide recently? Switch reference number format question
Idiots from Nationwide say in the online form "you’ll be given an 18 digit switch code beginning FSW".Well, it's clearly not 18 digit as FSW is part of the code followed by "I" in my case. This wouldn't be a problem if after 12 digits the penultimate character wasn't a letter "J". And the last one is "0" or "O" that are…
