Just rang Dominos pizza today to ask if NHS staff got any discount and was amazed to find out its 50 % !!!!!!!!
Not sure if everybody is aware of this and its common knowledge , so i apologise if it is.

I am uniformed Fire Service and I get 50% off in Dominoes, have to collect and show ID card. Also Pizza Hut 25% and Nandos 20%, you have to ask around as there are often discounts that are not advertised

It depends on the store....

If someone says they are NHS or Fire or Police I tend to give 50% discount, but if they sound a bit suspicious I say its for collection only to make sure they show me their ID. (the drivers never check so technically could get away with it)

I work for NHS as well and was not aware of this discount, have looked at NHS discount site but wasnt overall impressed, it might be a good idea to start up a seperate thread for NHS workers so we can give tips and finds to each other!!

What do you think?

the 50% nhs discount is unavailable with other deals so the 2 for 1 deal worked out better for me.

still, this is useful if i only want one pizza. thanks.

Can secretaries for the NHS get this too or is it just doctors and nurses?

Looks like all you have to do is flash your ID card - don't suppose it matters where in the NHS you work!

No its secretaries too, im a secretary at our hospital and we can use our cards to get from one hospital to another for free and to get discounts at cinema's and stuff. Not a great deal of savings but at the same time it all counts

Thanks so much for this post. I've jst signed up to the website, but have to wait 48 hours before I can make usse of it. I've worked for the NHS off/on since I left college (had a 12 year break for my oldest son) and went back in Oct '06.

I knew we had some discounts, mainly local gym, etc, but not to this extent. I will be taking full advantage of it asap.
