so stay in barcelona but not many hotels will have a pool. you will have to get a bus or train from any airport to get to a resort,

Try flightchecker on this site and you will see that there is very little avalability for flights tom cos the schools are off for a week. You put in your dates and airport and what you want to pay and check the i go anywhere and you can see for yourself what is there. To get a flight to popular resorts will be over 150-200 quid tom. you can come back from faro on wed for 20 quid but I think that it is a morning flight and sunday is a late dep and v.expensive.

Trains from Barcelona to Salou are fantastic!!! Frequent and much better than British trains - quite cheap too. Doesn't take long.

Looking at Skyscanner for Sun - Wed you've got

Liverpool - Malaga 146 (flight times bad)
Manchester - Gerona 151

And after that it's over 200, and you've still got to find a place to stay...

If you go for this... look at www.travelrepublic.co.uk for Malgrat . You can get 3 nights full board for 70 - 80 but check tripadvisor.

Took my bf last week, but got the coach (bus) to salou instead, it was around 15euros each and was a relaxing 1 1/2 hour journey, which we slept. driver was most helpful and directed us to our hotel. Stayed at the Golden Avenida which cost us 18 in total for 2 nights.
It was a family hotel however; but for 2 nights, and at that price, we didnt really care.
Also flew with easyjet!

reccommend this site too
