Bath screen seal
We have a folding bath screen, orginally bought from B&Q (?). Is anyone aware of a supplier for the rubber seal with the bath which has become damaged? It has a key hole profile and slides into the screen, someone somewhere must make miles of it everday.

It's gonna be an obvious reply here....sorry !
B&Q is your 1st port of call.
If they can't fiind you the manufacturers name of their supplied goods...then they want shooting. !
Most of their stuff is from recognised brand names and should be available.
Try to find out the manufacturers name and contact the manufacturer yourself...don't waste your time asking B&Q to sort it. It will be much quicker dealing with the manufacturer yourself.

Ever been to a DIY chain on the South coast and got a sensible answer about anything? I was amazed at the difference in both knowledge and attitude when I was up in Stockton the other month. Plus, I am not sure it was even bought there and there is no manufacturer mark.

A similar thing happened with our screen door, but quite some time ago. We went back to where we had purchased the door and they gave us the details of the manufacturer of the door, who in turn gave us the manufacturer of the rubber seal. They happened to be located not a great distance from us. We contacted them, ordered the stuff and went to collect a good supply.

Why not post up a photo of the shower screen. Someone may recognise it.
Maybe get a close up of the rubber seal you require

Go to a double glazing firm where they fix mend or install double glazing and allsorts, when I used to to glazing we kept all manner of seals and gaskets seals and captive gasket seals and they will give you metres for pence.

So did anyone find out where to buy a good seal from, spent over £150 on my 4 fold bath screen a few yrs back and need to get a new seal. Will have a dig around for the receipt to find out what the brand is, but in the mean time, any help appriciated. The above link does seem a bit pricy.

True.
We had an 8 fold one that kept trying to kill us. We'd get in the shower, & it would behave normally, until you got distracted applying shampoo & it would fold in on you at high speed

Try this site...honest...
Believe me when I say, this site will save you money in the long run. Think about it, what would be cheaper, buying a replacement seal, or a new shower or bath screen?
Go to www.theshowersealshop.com
The staff are very helpful. They even have a feedback page...
Check it out.

Replacement Bath Screen Seals
If you are looking for a replacement seal you want to visit byretech.com. They do a good range of seals and their universal seals (ScreenSeal and Screenseal MAX) work really well. Great idea. Have a look.

I eventually got mine from Aqualux (the brand of my screen), only cost something like £5 with postage and they were really helpful!

It is amazing the amount of information that is available on these pages. It is great that these specialist firms are about out there, and that somebody will post links to them.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
