    BG Homecare
I have had a Homecare agreement for years and ring them every year on renewal to 'discuss' why they have hiked the charge so much. Every year they are able to discount the price and ask if I want to pay by DD - I decline and repeat next year. One year discount took me to less than year before and several years they matched previous year. So haggle!

    British Gas Discount
Had a shock this morning when I received an email from British Gas about my basic homecare renewal. £329.44 This equated to a 13.42% increase and I've never made a claim.

After some consideration I phoned them ready to cancel the renewal, instead I accepted a 22% discount of the renewal which makes it cheaper than last years contract

I know they've had some bad press But in this case British gas have come up trumps.

They offer home emergency for £90 a year with no call out fees etc. Seems a bit too good to be true
