A day longer for every day you delay ....
Seriously, routine replacements take a few days. If there's something odd, who knows?0 -
I had to replace mine at age 70 I had to use snail mail and send a photo. That took 10days.0

I had to apply with a paper application last month. Posted it on Monday received the licence on Friday. The turnaround is impressive.0

I had to renew mine just last week. Used the online option whereby they take your photo from your passport. Applied on Saturday, it arrived in the post on Wednesday.
Was a bit miffed to see that the new licence runs from the day they processed it, not from the expiry date of the old licence. OK, it's only a month I've "lost" for something that lasts 10 years ... and it was only £14 ... but still, it's the principle  Hey, I'm not called Scrooge for nothing !0 -
Mrs AJs took about a week last year. All done online.0

As already said, mine took a few days. That was paper to photo as well with all the "proof of existence" stuff.0

Did you check the expiry date? Old timers like me only get 3 years at a time but my new licence runs from the date of issue to the day before my 73rd birthday, 3years and 1month.0
