Old Style Daily Tuesday 13th March 13th Mar 18 at 5:17 AM
This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Thanks for starting us off Dumpling & I hope Becky’s appointment goes well. Dumpling, 4 days dinners in the fridge - not that is what I call organised! I feel a song coming on - ‘I want to be like you oo oo

JackeO, thank you so much for great news, Simon sounds like a wonderful man (there are probably more of them out there than we know - it is just that we rarely read/hear about them ). Well done Simon P.S. your Melting Moments recipe (on Fiscal Fast) is fantastic

camelot1001, I remember when if someone was having a baby it was only family & close friends would give gifts - usually hand knitted, hand sewn or handed down! I am with you about the ‘baby shower’ phenomenon but like you I would probably attend to avoid unpleasantness

TA, glad you enjoyed the second half of your birthday

csarina2, glad your DD is on the mend - I must say I don’t like crowds much either.

Re the non appearance of the Council collection yesterday, DH is back in my good books as he spoke to someone at the council offices & was advised that stuff should be picked up tomorrow.
He also did a tip run on the motorbike & went grocery shopping
All I did was the washing up, made Melting Moments & cleared up as I went along. Dinner will be sausage Casserole with rice.

The phone calls I was supposed to make today will keep until tomorrow, except for the one to my DSis.

    Have a good night everyone.

    Well done Simon!

I've had to make a humungous amount of brownies to take to work tomorrow for a leaving for maternity leave thing, that was a bit of a slog after an 11 hour day but all done now. Dentist first thing, better hide them.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
