If a landlord gives me a 3 year fixed term tenancy can he still evict in 6 months or does he have to wait until the end of the three years?

At the end of the term, unless there is a break clause in the tenancy agreement or you breach the tenancy yourself (for example, by not paying rent).

I woudn't advise anyone to sign up to a 3 year fixed term. If anything goes wrong you are contracted to pay rent for 3 years.
