    Interest missing from January

Interest missing from January 8th Feb 18 at 11:46 AM
    Hello folks,

Just a quick question, hopefully someone on here has had a similar experience.
As at the end of every month , interest gets added to my mortgage statement and then on the 1st of every month my direct debit monthly payment comes off. However, in January no interest was added to my mortgage. Has the bank made an error do you think? Should I phone them asap to let them know? Or is this a common thing? I thought I would wait a few days and go back online to check, but the monthly interest has still not been added for January, although February payment has come off

    Is this Halifax?

If so, I've had exactly the same thing.... However, in my case (and I suspect possibly yours), they have charged the interest, it just doesn't show on your statement / online banking. The previous figures are also wrong. Prior to my January payment my balance was £88,795.65 but it now shows that it was £88,186.82, which is wrong. My balance is now £88,544.10. So whilst it shows that no interest was paid, the balance is actually correct - if that make sense?

Like you, I've been waiting for this to correct itself but doesn't appear to have happened yet.

Ll0yds, by any chance? They occasionally have month-end glitches on online banking (all transactions have been applied correctly, but don't show) - mine finally caught up today
