Right To Manage - Management Fees 6th Feb 18 at 5:56 PM
    Hi there,

I'm part of a Right To Manage company that looks after our buildling of 8 flats. Of the 8 flats, only 7 have opted to be a part of the mgmt company as directors.

Of the 7 directors, only 4 flats actually turn up to meetings, do the work etc.

It's extremely time consuming, and what I wondered is, is it ok to charge management fees on the service charges to the flats? And then those who do work for the company can expense for time? Not talking crazy amounts, just 10 quid here and there for say, doing the accounts, legal side of things, if one of us does the gardening instead of hiring a gardener etc.

    Thanks!

Yes you can charge expenses, with agreement of the company. Minute the agreement and include in the accounts.
