Getting a used car repaired if the dealer is a dis 6th Feb 18 at 8:01 AM
I'm buying a car from a dealer who is a two hour drive away.

Under the SOGA or other legislation I gather I have a right to get the car repaired if it develops a fault (with time limits and evidence, of course).

Do I have to take the car back to the dealer who sold it to me, or do I have a right to have it repaired locally once terms have been agreed between the dealer and the local garage?

If and when you choose to buy a car from a supplier a long way away, that's one of the factors you have to consider...
