Unbelievably my very long running diary of 5 years seems to have been deleted Not happy about this to say the least

Not sure what to do about it. Need my diary to keep me sane and on track.

Had to swiftly come up with a new title, had been meaning to start a new diary but not this way.

Anyway, in brief for those who don't know, my life changed drastically 5 years ago when my OH got Lymphoma in his brain, nearly lost his life but miraculously survived, although he has permanent brain damage and is disabled. So we lost his wage and I'm now the sole breadwinner. At its highest debt was around £5k but paid off thankfully.

I try to keep as normal a life as I can.

Still really angry my old diary has gone

Would be good if my old diary came back too. Fingers crossed.

I think the event went well, it was well attended anyway. I've been on my feet most of the day and have done 25,001 steps. Even managed to sneak in a Zumba session at lunchtime, although still not very good at it, ankle still not flexible enough.

Mr SA is in agony with his back but won't take the painkillers the doctor gave him. He says he's taking too many tablets as it is. He's adamant it's not just backache and is something more sinister. I found him a heat patch left over from when I broke my ankle and he literally ripped it open and black bits have gone everywhere.

Needed an electrician to remove redundant light switch and central heating thermostat in the dining room prior to plastering. Couldn't get hold of the electrician who did our recent electrical work so rang a firm we've used in the past. Luckily one of their blokes lives just down the road and he came out and did the work an hour later. Not sure how much it is yet as they email the bill but they've always been reasonable in the past.

Mr SA has just given in and taken the painkillers and gone to bed thank goodness.

I'm impressed with your step count SA .

I'm glad Mr SA finally took some pain relief and you got your plastering done .

Enthusiastic Saver said she was going to email the forum team about your old diary, so hopefully it will appear .

Thank you Andrea and Fermi You are brilliant

So pleased the old diary wasn't lost for good.

However, I will be using this one going forward, I was going to start a new one anyway.

Met up with a local MSE diaries lady today for a coffee and what a lovely lady she is, a pleasure to meet.

Then went to the hairdressers for a trim.

I've not been as careful this week with budget and diet, although have done 4 gym sessions this week and not exactly gone mad spending but might be slightly over budget.

    So glad it's Friday

Wouldn't it be fab if we could all meet up. We are all over the place though unfortunately. I know a few years ago someone used to instigate forum meet ups.

I'm growing my hair, my new hairdresser is fab and is getting the layers to grow out so my hair is much thicker. It's shoulder length now so won't let it get much longer.

Tomorrow's plans are WW, cleaning and grandkids coming.

Great that you’ve got your old diary back SA!

Yes wouldn’t it be nice to have an MSE diaries meet up. Would have to hold it in the middle of the UK somewhere though as a central meeting point for everyone! Perhaps when the summer arrives and all this bad weather is a distant memory.......

Hope Mr SA’’s back is better. So he has a secret stash does he.........

Oh and can I have some of your thick hair?

Ooh the middle of the UK would be fab for me as that's where I live, nice and cosy right in the middle We should do it though for those who want to, when the weather picks up as you say.

SSG you wouldn't want my hair in the morning - bird's nest is the word. I spend ages taming it every morning then a bit of moisture or wind in the air and it's a mess again. I just need a hairdresser to do my hair every morning really
