When is LISA bonus paid? 13th Jan 18 at 3:33 PM
I know it's "monthly", but if I dump the full £4k in the account on the first day of the new tax year, does that mean I get the full £1,000 bonus the following month? It's important because I'm needing to decide whether to proceed with a purchase imminently or hang on for July to enable me to save a bit more and get that extra LISA £1,000.

It'll be paid by the 2nd June, providing the ISA manger makes the claim by the due date for contributions in the first month of the tax year.

The ISA manager has 14 days after the end of the claim month, which is defined as beginning on the 6th and ending on the 5th to submit the claim for bonus payments. HMRC then has a further 14 days to pay the bonus on claims submitted by the due date.

Excellent, thank you. My LISA won't have been open 12 months until July so gives time for the wrinkles to be worked out. So now it's just deciding if I want to go ahead nowish with the HtB money or in July with the LISA money.
