Paid RBS for full building survey - got a valuation 12th Jan 18 at 10:23 AM
We're moving and porting our mortgage with RBS, they gave us the options of surveys and we opted for the full building survey so that we had a full picture of what we may need to do to the new house.

The survey was carried out on and the vendor's agent let us know that the surveyor was in the house for under an hour. On our mortgage offer it describes a valuation survey / homebuyer report.

Do we have a case to claim back the difference in cost for these 2 surveys (which is significant) so that we can source our own as and when appropriate?

Your mortgage offer will only mention the valuation.
If you had a home buyer report or survey it would come separately. However, I dont think RBS doing building surveys only basic valuations and home buyer reports?
