Ryanair 60 days online check in if paying for reserved seat? 11th Jan 18 at 1:11 PM
    Hi,

Planning to go from Manchester to Seville for 5 days.
Will pay standard fare for both ways.

    Question.
If I pay just the additional fare to reserve a seat for the trip from
Seville- Manchester (not both ways), does it mean that I can check in online for both outbound and inbound travel, 4 days before I leave for the Manchester-Seville trip?

Basically, I want to check in online before I leave home as I won’t have printing facilities in Seville.

    Thanks.

I wouldn't have thought so as each trip will be treated separately.

I dont think that will work. Downloading the RyanAir app to your phone and using it to check in will though.

No you can’t. I purchased seats on the return journey for this reason. Wouldn’t let me check in for the outbound journey though until 4 days prior. BTW, it’s Ryanair policy now to not sit you together. They sat us 20 rows apart. Of course we paid to change seats at which point found out that seats on either side of our allocated seats were available. By then, the seat charge had increased from £6 to £10.

Richardw - Do you mean purchase 2 single tickets?
Will that allow me to check-in both trips on the same day? I will check ticket prices if this is feasible.

    E.g. Man-Seville - check in Sat 20 Jan 2018 for travel on Mon 22 Jan 2018
Seville-Man check in Sat 20 Jan 2018 for travel on Mon 26 Jan 2018

Katykat- seating is not an issue for me as I will be travelling alone.

Thank you for the other responses.

If you purchase a seat for the return journey, yes you can do both check ins on 20th Jan. Purchased seats allow you to check in up to 60 days prior to the journey as you state in your title.

If you use a smartphone there's no need to print anything when you check in using the Ryanair app, which you can do within the four days prior without paying for a seat. It's reliable and even if if did fail at the airport they can see you are checked in and issue a pass. Using data on your phone for this will be with your UK fees/plan.

Edicky- I am afraid I am old school. Prefer paper as I worry my phone will go on the blink because I may have forgotten my charger, etc Also I only have a PAYG phone. Appreciate the suggestion.

Enter the modern age and save money (and paper)! Have more confidence in your ability to keep your phone charged! Your same PAYG rates will apply in Spain...

Wherever I've been I've never had any problem asking hotels if I can print out boarding passes. They are well used to being asked.
