Britannia Parking Appeal rejected 10th Jan 18 at 8:42 PM
We just received the letter from Britannia regarding an appeal made for a PCN. The driver has paid for a parking ticket but to another landlord within the same premises which is much higher than that of BPark. This was an oversight as the driver believed the entire car park was managed by same company other than Britannia. We explained this to Britannia with proof of payment for the entire duration which the totally failed to acknowledge. However, there have also sent a POPLA verification code but not sure what to do next. Please I’d appreciate your humble advice.
    See their response below:
Thank you for your appeal received on xx/xx/2017 regarding the above detailed Parking Charge Notice.
We have reviewed the case and considered the comments that you have made. This appeal has been considered in conjunction with the photographs and any evidence provided. Our records show that the notice was correctly issued as your vehicle was parked in breach of the Terms and Conditions of the Car Park.
The Parking Charge Notice was issued to your vehicle because you failed to purchase a valid ticket. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that they have read and understood the terms and conditions for using the car park.
Britannia Parking is an active member of the British Parking Association (BPA) and we follow their Approved Operators Scheme, Code of Practice at all times. Our car parks are regularly audited and our signage at this car Park has been approved by the BPA. We meet all the requirements for our signage as advised under section 18 and 19 for England and Wales or Section 28 for Scotland, of the BPA’s Code of Practice, in regards to signage and notifying the driver of the terms and conditions.
Therefore we consider there to be sufficient, clearly visible signage in the car park to draw your attention to the terms and condition of the parking contract that is on offer. By leaving your vehicle in the car park you have broken the terms and conditions and therefore we believe the Parking Charge Notice to be valid and correctly issued.

Everyone is politely asked to first read the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

Go there now to see lots of advice and near templates/links etc for popla appeals

If you haven't revealed who was driving to the PPC (the advice here is never reveal who was driving) then edit your post to remove details of who was driving (It seems from the appeal rejection the driver appealed??)

Not sure why anyone posts copies of standard rejection blurb!

What we want to see is your draft POPLA appeal (see NEWBIES thread post #3 template words) so we can help tweak it.
PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.
