    "Legitimate" Charge?

"Legitimate" Charge? 8th Jan 18 at 6:12 PM
    I need some advice....
    short back story...
My car arrived at a local petrol station. I did not have sufficient funds to purchase petrol so the car was parked in a marked bay and I walked to a nearby cash point.
I returned, purchased petrol (with cash unfortunately) and left.
A short while later as the Registered Keeper I received a Parking charge notice for £100 having spent a total of 31 minutes on the forecourt where there was clearly a 15 minute limit as advertised by the multiple signs.

The signage is everywhere and looks to be compliant.

I have appealed to Euro Car Parks and POPLA and both have been rejected.
I have contacted Exxon Mobil and MRH (the forecourt owner) and had a poor response.

    My grounds for appeal were:
    - I purchased petrol so was a customer although the absence of a receipt makes this challenging to prove but I'm happy to swear in court as the CCTV (if there is any) will clearly show this.
    - While getting money I was parked in a marked bay not blocking any area of the forecourt. I am also confident my car being parked there did not prevent any other customers from using the facilities. as it was a quiet day. Again CCTV would show this.
    - The 15 minutes allotted was clearly insufficient in my case for me to get money from a cash point and purchase my petrol.

Do I have any hope at all or is the presence of plenty of clear signage enough for a judge to conclude it was my responsibility to check the signage and terms of parking and thus not stay longer than 15 minutes.

Why didn't you just use card to pay for petrol?

Euro Car parks are very very unlikely to take you to court ->

Case of just sit and wait for 6 years.
If you get a LBCCC letter then you need to come back to us.

But if may not be, can you post a picture.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Hindsight is great. I needed cash anyway so paid with cash I’d withdrawn. Ironically it is probably the first time I’ve paid in cash for years!

Some questions are very easy to answer.

Yes until you have over 10 posts (i think) your only option is to post a link to an image hosted in the cloud on something like dropbox, tinypic etc...
When you post the link change "http" to "hxxp" to break the link.

A regular will post the link correctly.

    Quick update.
Site owner has finally responded to my numerous emails and agreed to cancel the charge.
I provided a redacted bank statement showing the cash withdrawal and this seems to have sealed it.
    Thanks for your advice though.
