halifax credit card 7th Jan 18 at 8:47 PM
I am in the process of reclaiming PPI and initially sent a complaint via Resolver. Halifax wrote to me with a form over the xmas period, and although the date they sent it was mid December I did not receive it til a few days before xmas. I have now sent it off but received a letter in the meantime stating that due to me not returning said form within 14 days they have closed the case. Will they reopen it once they receive the completed form or should I start the process again? Many thanks

They cant close the case within 14 days. It is just worded that way to try and get you to speed up as they dont want you to take 6 months (the length of time you actually have).

So, you can take longer than 14 days.
