Relocating domestic drains experiences - costs? 5th Jan 18 at 10:44 AM
I have yet to get a builder to give me even an estimate for this work so I was wondering if anyone has any experience.

In our current lean too garage we have two drains (one at each end of the building). Of course when the lean to is knocked down, these drains cannot be left as they will be in the new extension. They will need to move around the corner to the front and back of the house respectively.

The ground is going to be dug up anyway for the foundations of the extension so the drains are going to be exposed as part of the work anyway. This is as far as I can get a builder to talk about - have to wait and see until the ground is removed.

Has anyone had similar work done and if so how much was it?

When you say drains, do you mean Inspection Chamber Covers (manholes) in the garage floor?

Not man holes just a two grated holes in the ground used by the pipes from the kitchen sink, dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom sink, shower and guttering.

Any competent builder should be able to give you an estimate to include relocation of these drains.
