I decided that it was time for a new diary to go with the New Year, and also the fact that the old diary title isn't appropriate anymore. So hello shiny new diary!!

I have been MIA for a while so if you are coming over from my old diary, thank you for helping me through the last two emotional years. If you're new to my diary, I need regular kicks up the backside

My DD started her apprenticeship last year so is no longer money dependant on me and is also now paying for her own phone We are both still living with my mum and although sometimes its quite hard, it is helping me on my financial journey. It also helps my mum out too money wise. I can't believe that I am coming back slightly more in debt but I plan to have half of it cleared this year and then the rest the following year which will mean I will be debt free by the time I am 50 in 2021

So, the total amount of debt I am in is 16,591.17. Some of these are small amounts which I am hoping to clear in the next couple of months. Unfortunately I had a lovely letter before Christmas to say I had received an overpayment in my tax credits so that is why it is higher again. But, only one of these has interest on it.

I am also still bullet journaling so I am feeling super organised for this year. I have all my goals set and the biggest one for this year is to try and have as many NSD's as possible. Another important goal this year is to finish setting up an online business that I have been researching for quite a number of months.

I hope each and every one of you have a lovely 2018

    Take care.
    Tink xx

Another NSD today. A direct debit came out but I'm not counting budgeted money.

I did forget to add my savings in my signature but I can't see that going up too quickly until the middle of the year. I want an emergency fund of 1000.

Took my lunch to work today and resisted the vending machine so that helps with the no spends and the weight loss.

So yesterday I left work at lunch time as I felt rubbish and I have just slept. Until about 4pm today. I do feel so much better though and I've also had another 2 NSD's so that is even better.

There have been some DD's taken out towards by debt so even only 5 days into the New Year I have already paid over 100, I will amend the figures in my signature.

Tomorrow is shopping day which I have 40 budgeted. Mum also put 40 towards it so I never go over on that but I need to resist any other spending. This is going to be my first test.

I'm a bit annoyed at the spend the other day. I've worked out I'm an emotional spender, I was having a bad day and the spending didn't make me feel better for long. Hopefully a lesson learnt.

    Hi Tink,

Glad you are feeling better. I suspect I may fall under the emotional spender category :/

Im sure you will have no issues sticking to your grocery budget, but good luck anyway .
