    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I thought I'd kick start January's thread as I can't see one. If there's a duplicate, please feel free to delete or merge it.

So Christmas has been and gone and were at the start of a brand new shiny year.

If like me, you realise you've overspent in December or just generally want to save some money during the working week, then this is the challenge for you

Feel free to post what you're taking for lunch, as it may give others ideas from the usual sandwiches.

So roll up, roll up, who's in?

I was back to work yesterday and am so far on track - veggie rice salad, carrot sticks and a Nakd bar (pre-bought on offer!) both days.

3/16 didn't make a proper lunch for today, just random bits from the cupboard/fridge. Luckily it was such a hectic day I didn't have time to sit and eat properly so was pleased with my odds and ends lunch bag! Made use of my coffee and milk sachets, very tasty!

Today I managed another take my lunch to work day! I had bbq pulled chicken with boiled rice. So now on #5. Tomorrow's lunch prepped and in the fridge - garlic chicken breast with savoury rice and fruit for afterwards. Might struggle Thursday/Friday as I'm trying to refrain from food shopping until the weekend. Any suggestions please?

Day 6, today is a quick and easy lunch.

Corned beef and ketchup sandwiches. (was out for tea last night, so no leftovers to use up unfortunately)
It's amazing to look at how much we must all be saving in only a short few days.

    Afternoon,

Lunch was interesting, I think next time I make it I'll put in less red onion and some new potatoes and a tad more BBQ sauce.

Need to think about tomorrows now lol

    Oh my word!

So glad I've joined this thread as my lunch options are so very boring these days! Yours all sound amazing.

Today and yesterday was a very tasty corned beef, pickle and salad ciabatta.

I really can't wait for the better weather to opt for chick pea & giant cous cous greek salads etc like I made last year....everyone would 'Ohh and ahh' just looking at them!

    Anyway..I'm up to 6/16
