    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I thought I'd kick start January's thread as I can't see one. If there's a duplicate, please feel free to delete or merge it.

So Christmas has been and gone and were at the start of a brand new shiny year.

If like me, you realise you've overspent in December or just generally want to save some money during the working week, then this is the challenge for you

Feel free to post what you're taking for lunch, as it may give others ideas from the usual sandwiches.

So roll up, roll up, who's in?

Today DS has been of school sick so i have eaten from home anyway. I will keep today's lunch for tomorrow. At least I'm ahead of myself.

Home-made potato and leek soup for me today. I always chuck in an extra couple of potatoes when I make it so it's really thick and gives the illusion of being creamy without actually having to add cream.

I'm in. Would appreciate any veggie ideas

    Afternoon,

Everyone is doing really well and is so enthusiastic

Nearly didn't bring my lunch today but gave myself a swift kick and made a corned beef and pickle sandwich which I'm having with a tomato cup a soup.

I have a chicken breast in the fridge, which I will add to some cooked rice and spinach for tomorrow and add some BBQ sauce to combat dryness.

Have been good today. Had some of last night's vegetable soup.
The not so good part is the almost constant munching I seem to be doing at the mo.
It's meant another NSD at least!

I can relate to that Jellibeanz

Lunch has been made for tomorrow, settled on adding peas and red onion to the rice, chicken and spinach....now can't decide between BBQ sauce or salad cream to finish it off tomorrow.
