Welcome to the £2 Savers Club 2018

The aim is to collect every £2 coin you can lay your hands on! It is entirely up to you whether you want to:
    A) Save for a particular length of time e.g. monthly or till December 2018,
    B) Save for a particular reason e.g. to pay the car insurance, to pay for a family holiday or to buy birthday presents throughout the year,
    C) Save until you have a specific amount e.g. £20 or £100 or a pot full!
    D) Save for any other reason you can think of...
You are also welcome to do what you wish with the money. Either bank it as you please or at the end of the year or spend it as required.

Above all else remember this is a fun thread, but the aim of this website is to SAVE, so any encouragement, comments or help you can give to others are always very welcome.

Anyone who wishes to join (or be removed though I hope that isnít the case!) is always very welcome, please just ask and I will add you as soon as I can and allocate you a number. Also, if anyone wants to add anything to the list such as a target or a date to aim for etc. then let me know and I will add it. However there is no pressure to do this as many people just wish to be able to save as and when they can.

So thatís it. Start saving, comment regularly and hunt for those £2s. Any questions or comments please ask.

I also have a terramundi pot for my £2 coins which I was given last year, but have resorted to good old jam jars for my other challenges as I didn't get any saving pots for Christmas. Obviously have to make my wants more obvious on my santa list next year

I have an authentic 1990ís china Mrs Potts money box, which I have saved 20ps in but not this year.
Finally, to go with Mrs Potts I have a Chip money box.

£8 for me so far all saved in a blue and white VW camper ceramic money box.

All my other coins go in a large multi coloured piggy bank. It is rather ugly and belonged to DH.

Another £2 coin to go into my pot, thanks to hubby.

Spent the morning hoovering behind the sofa, lots of skirting boards, behind the beds and in the wardrobes. What an interesting life I lead!

Hi, I'd like to join the 2018 £2 coin savers club too please.

I've been saving them year on year for as long as I can remember. Best I think I've had was £298 a few years ago.

Currently at £10 so far this year

    Cheers!

My pot is a terramundi that I received as a gift from my son a long time ago with "Dad's sports car fund" on it. It doesn't have a plug so I've had to extract the coins from the slot with a knife every year and the slot is now a little worse for wear! We normally use the money for socialising over the Xmas period or extra holiday spending money but I think this time I'm going to keep going until it's full then break it open.

There's only £8 in it so I suspect my wife has had one for something or other
