    Not sure whether this is the correct section but any advice appreciated.
    I've found a bottle of Pusser's Rum which was opened several years ago but is 95% full, will it still be fit to consume?
    Seems a shame to pour it away. :-)

    Normal sprits gin vodka brandy rum whiskey are ok for years it's sugar based drinks that go off Tia Maria Bailey's Malibu etc

    My parents weren't "drinkers" but had a "booze cupboard" for Christmas etc., mostly for visitors. (IIRC my dad only really liked Advocaat.)
    I remember opened bottles being carted around the world on moves - one I distinctly recall was bright blue.
    The only thing that didn't last long were the cocktail cherries.

    Spirits like Rum will be fine for some time - as long as they aren't kept somewhere exposed to sunlight.

    its fermented, fermented things last ages. if you dont want to drink it make boozy fruit for christmas
