    I visited the Bicester Outlet Village in October and purchased a blouse from See Chloe.
    I wore the blouse once and on going to put it on for the second time I realised that the cuff had come away from the sleeve.
    I contacted Chloe by email explaining the problem and they advised me to return the goods. The problem is I'm 2 hours away from Bicester and Chloe won't accept the blouse back at one of their normal stores as it was bought at an outlet store.
    I've tried to contact the store but nobody is answering the phone.
    I can't back to Bicester before at least Feb of next year. The blouse is totally unwearable.
    What are my rights? Can I send it back by recorded delivery and demand my money back? I don't have the receipt any more but I do have my Visa Debit statement (which is over 30 days now). The blouse cost £140
    Could anybody advise please?

    I've tried to ring the shop but there is never any reply.
    I've also emailed but have as yet received no reply and I'm not even sure if I'm emailing the actual shop as the page looks a bit generic

    Did you read the OP which says no one is answering the phone?

    I don't think the return policy is unusual for outlet stores - I know M&S I the same. Is there not another way to contact the store such as in writing?

    Yes - I can try and write - but then what if I still don't get a reply?
    Surely there must be some comeback on an item that falls apart after one wear - even if it IS last season!?

    me being me, I would ring the shop either side of the Chloe shop and ask them to go in and ask if there is something wrong with their phone

    My suggestion would be to print out copies of the e-mails you sent and received and keep them with the faulty blouse and then take them back to the outlet store when you are next in the area.
    That way you will have proof that the fault occured not too long after purchase.

    Alternatively, write to the outlet store explaining what has happened and ask if you can return the faulty item by post.

    Thanks for all your suggestions - I appreciate them all - it's just annoying when you spend so much money on something and then discover it's difficult to resolve a problem that arises with it ......
    It's not Bicesters fault that I'm 2 hours away, but it's most definitely not my fault that they have sold me an expensive and duff blouse that I potentially won't be able to get a refund on!!

    Most of Bicester Outlet's customers are from afar, many foreign visitors, so they should be used to distance returns.

    If they have asked you via email to return it then do so by post with tracking. Keep a scan of your receipt.

    Do they need the card to refund?? Or do they have a replacement?

    I tend to avoid Bicester village like the plague and spend less than £140 a year on my clothes!
