exchanging contact details 5th Dec 17 at 7:03 PM
just a heads up, with all the trouble exchanging contact details and getting an account warning (now removed) i was told (via ebay) to get contact details (after sale confirmed) the best way is to use the advanced search function and use "find contact information"

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ebayadvsearch/?_sofindtype=9&_kw=ebayadvsearch&_since=15&_sop=10 &_ipg=50

    maybe it will help someone?

Or for some, just a random area, not remotely part of your address but something eBay has picked up from a post code - which could be another county and completely put people in the dark. It does give a telephone number, albeit sometimes that isn't uptodate.

Sneaky work-around. When using Paypal to pay, there is the option to add a message to the seller. You can put contact details in that message - I used it recently ordering some return address labels, put our full name and address in, and it went through no problem!

Conversely, don't try anything like that in Ebay messaging, their stupid system won't allow you to send anything remotely like an address, phone number or email address, which is a PITA when the item you're buying is collection only!!

All PayPal payments include the other party's email, if you can't see it then switch to the classic view. I often use the email address to confirm when the item is being sent and also to mention that I have more in the set or can offer discounts if there was anything else they wanted.
