Notice before court action.. 5th Dec 17 at 4:56 PM
Please can someone help me identify if my letter is the one they have to send before county court.

It's from Gladstones Solicitors. Looks like a standard letter.

"... Our client now has the option to commence proceedings in the appropriate Civil Court. This right exists for a period of 6 years...."

It goes on to urge me to make the payment, says they can arrange a payment plan, and gives some debt helpline numbers.

is it from GLADRAGS themselves or a debt collector ?

    does the reference start with a 1 or a 3 ?

who does it actually tell you to pay ?

The quote is correct but if that's the only mention of court it's not a letter before court action but a debt collectors typical scaremongering

"If you do not pay within the next 14 days, please keep our client and their agents DRP updated as to your current address to ensure that your ability to defend any such action is protected as any County Court judgement or Decree can have a serious effect on a person's credit rating. It is therefore important that you are appraised of any court action. "

Quentin is spot on as it is DR+ pretending to be Gladstones. Slippery chancers ..eh.
Life's for living, get on with it rather than worrying about these. If they hassle, counter claim.

Send them that costs schedule though, 24 hours before the hearing, and file it with the court. Take with you evidence that you have sent the costs schedule to them and when.

I have one too from IE legal on behalf of TPS. Words like consider court action etc. Is this still just scaremongering? The more I look into this people say just ignore the letters as its unenforceable.

the debt collectors cannot enforce it , they are powerless

a PARKING COMPANY may be able to enforce it if they win in court (like Parking Eye did against BEAVIS)
