For my husband's family who live in Ventura USA, we have just heard that wild fires, fanned by a 50+ mile an hour winds are devastating all in their path.

27;000 people have been told to leave their homes.

    Hope they are safe.

I have quite a few 'ex work' colleagues 'across the pond' although none of them live in 'Cali , although when the hurricane's arrived a few months ago despite some being in those area's again thankfully none were effected.

My thoughts are with you, your relatives (and their friends) in Ventura

Oh goodness, Csarina how horribly worrying for you and your DH; entreaties here to any deity who will listen that your loved ones are safe, and that you have some good news on that front very soon. x

How awful, sending prayers your way.

Its probably best not to follow the news too keenly and guess what's going on (you'll always fear the worst). Direct W'App or text will be better for everyone's mental health.
