    They are freely given by stores

    How many have you thrown away?

    It seems you can't recycle them so should they be

    Banned

    Or

    Pay a tax like carrier bags

    I hang clothes on them. It saves buying hangers.

    But my local Tesco has a hanger recycling bin if I ever want to get rid of any.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
