Thought exhaust had collapsed on car last night, took it to brothers works this morning to discover a clamp had fallen off. Time to repair -5 mins, cost - £3.50. Happy.

Highlight of my day? My son finishing wrapping his presents . He is quite obsessive about Christmas, and has been asking to wrap the things that he has bought (with help) for family since the beginning of September .

Mind you, he doesn't want much in return. Last night, he wrote to Father Christmas. He has asked for a letter back from him, to be put into his stocking. It should be a cheap Christmas

Highlight of the last few days was buying loads of Waitrose half price curries for the freezer. We now live on a farm on the edge of Dartmoor and the owner has warned us that if it snows heavily we could get snowed in. Does anyone know where we can get a freezer with elastic sides
