Tenerife - Lost and Found query 10th Nov 17 at 4:44 PM
My in-laws have just returned to the UK from the island but realised on the plane home that they'd left their iPad in one of the trays at security.

Phoned the airport and they've said they've got the item, however, they have to return to the airport to claim it within 15 days.

    Anyone know a workaround?

Assuming it's still in season for airline they used then ask if they'll fly it back to UK for them. Alternatively you're looking work of mouth for someone going in next 15 days.

Any other alternative is likely to cost you more than value of iPad

Our friend left her phone in the toilet at Tenerife south, it was handed in but we had already boarded.
Luckily two of our group were returning later and were able to pick up the phone.
Even though they had authorisation to pick the phone up from lost property they were still asked to identify the it, easy as it had a broken screen! if you get someone to collect for you let them know the serial number or some other way of picking it out like a case colour or stickers.

Advise the friend of a friend of the serial number of the device, assuming you have it recorded.

That's easy to locate via settings - if you tell them the passcode, and the battery is not run down !!!

A charging cable would be a good idea, in case the battery is done - only takes a few minutes from a mains connection to give enough power to access settings etc.

Did you get the airport to extend their 15 days to pick it up that you mentioned in the OP?
