    Oh, I dont mind paying for nice bread. The difference between a nice loaf and a boring one is huge.

    Although saying that they were wasting a lot of the bakery section at DD's store last sunday. I hate to see good food go to waste. My local does good reductions last thing.

    Soup recipies, I usually just make them up. Once you get used to it you cant go wrong, but for specific types, I always turn to Delia for soup. I have a lovely soup book of hers (particularly recommend the goulash soup )

    I might get there in the end.

    The Old Rosie Cloudy Scrumpy Cider (10L), that I originally had on my list at 20 (which I thought was a good price for the quantity), which went to a "Black Friday" price of 15, went to 13 on Wednesday. So, it was better to ignore Black Friday, as that was still too expensive, and buy it afterwards!

    I dont make the goulash soup very often, as the ingredients list is huge!!!
    See below!
    1 lb (450 g) braising steak
    2 pints (1.5 litres) beef or vegetable stock
    1 teaspooon tomato pur!e
    1 lb (450 g) potatoes, peeled and cut into inch (1 cm) cubes
    1 green or red pepper, deseeded and chopped
    5 fl oz (150 ml) soured cream
    salt and freshly milled black pepper
    1-2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped small
    1 tablespoon plain flour
    2 tablespoons hot paprika, plus a little extra for sprinkling
    teaspoon dried marjoram (if available)
    teaspoon caraway seeds
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    14 oz (400 g) tinned Italian chopped tomatoes
