No disposable cup week 6th Nov 17 at 1:30 PM
Like millions of people I'm a sucker for coffee on the go
Last week I kept my cups in a separate bag was shocked at how much waste it was

I've dug my reusable cup from Christmas out of the cupboard and plan to try and use it each time and will be taking a jar of favourite coffee to the office

My preferred caffeine hit is Nero but not sure which place gives best discount for own cup

I really hope you get on well with your disposable cup! It is terrible to see all these disposable cups around the cities - and they are only the ones that didn't make it to the bin - I think if we really saw where all this stuff was going we would all take reusable cups and bags, and bottles! - spread the word and well done!!

Am I the only one left who thinks paying for an overpriced hot beverage is a waste of money when I have a kettle and teabags at home?

This week inspired me to buy a keep cup for my wife who probably gets 3-4 coffees a week.

Today the Barista in Costa dropped it and the glass inner shattered!

I use an e.coffee cup which is made from bamboo. I make my tea in it before leaving for work and have it when I arrive there.

It's a good job the coffee companies don't rely on me for their profits as i can honestly say i've NEVER bought a coffee on the go. If i am travelling i take a bottle of water(re-filled with tap water(hundreds of times now)) with me, saves on the cost and better for me.
It's a no disposable cup week for me every week

Disposable cups are not that bad environmentally.
The poly cups are actually better than the paper cups although almost everywhere now uses the paper cups as they feel more premium.
Costs about 3 pennies per cup in bulk less than 10% of that will be energy
So at most 0.1 KWh per cup all in

Go one day without heating your home in winter and its about 1,000 disposable cups worth of energy
