    My wife is currently self employed as a driving instructor but is changing her occupation half way through her tax year.

    Other than changing the name of her business I suppose the tax return next April will be the same as other years?

    depends on loads of other things, but the simple answer is yes - as a self employed person you declare income and expenses.
