Personal Current Accounts for a Sole Trader

Personal Current Accounts for a Sole Trader 9th Oct 17 at 12:29 PM
I know there is no legal requirement for a Sole Trader to use a business banking account, but I am having a hard time finding a bank that does not resitrict business use in the personal current account T&C's.

So far, I've tried Natwest, Co-Operative, Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC, Santander and TSB.

I'm intersted to know if anyone has had any success in finding a personal product for sole trading? I know I can get a business account in a fee-free period, but would much rather have a personal current account. I don't want lending facilities (no overdraft, credit cards etc.)

Any success stories/recommendations that you can share?

    Thanks all.

None of them accept this in their T&Cs. The point of a personal current account is to be personal.

Why not just open one of the many sole trader business accounts that offers a period of free banking, then switch at the end of it to one of the many sole trader business accounts that offer a period of free banking for switchers?
