Can I Switch Yet? 9th Oct 17 at 10:52 AM
My fix term period with Scottish Power is ending next month and I am to incur exit fees if I switch before 13th October.
However, does this date mean the date from which a switch is initiated or a switch is completed?
i.e. if I were to use the Cheap Energy Club and initiate a switch today, which clearly won't be done before 13th, would this be fine?

You should have or will have a notification from SP that your fix is ending.
You have the right to start the Switch process 42 - 49 days before the end date.

The 'Switch Date' is the day your new provider begins to supply you.
(The switch of Elec & Gas can be on different days )
