    Napier - Didn't appeal, now what? 8th Oct 17 at 3:16 PM
    Hi all,

Just re-editing my post to remove the story and to get to the underlying issues at hand.

If the appeal time frame has been missed, I understand its just a waiting game to see if court action it taken. However Driver doesn't wish Keeper to have to go through court action etc as Keeper has had a hard time recently.

Can fine still be paid to close the saga BEFORE any court papers are sent? Driver does not wish to end up paying then a separate letter comes through slapping on late fees/bogus charges or court fee's, once they know driver is susceptible for paying up.

Driver on other hand is willing to challenge the case (in his/her name) as the DISCLOSED 'observed time period' of the parking offence is less than a minute. - Could they change this in court with more video evidence or photo evidence showing a longer period of parking than that originally disclosed to Keeper?

Everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in and the process involved. Now you are in the debt collectors/wait and see if you get a court claim stage

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

YOU SHOULD REMOVE THE ABOVE DETAILS ON WHO THE DRIVER WAS

in any "story" , just refer to THE DRIVER and THE KEEPER, nothing else

it is thought that they use the number of seconds to identify anyone posting on the internet

it is normal practice for them to do all of this and the PPC can and do take people to court for non-payment

if they refused the initial appeal then its either pay up or fight in court

they have 6 years to issue an MCOL

    the NEWBIES STICKY THREAD, posts #1 , #2 , #3 , #4 and #9 deal with all your queries

the fact is was stolen has no relevance to this parking charge saga

Apologies, re-edited the original, post taking your advice.

I have had a look at the stickey thread - was my first port of call. I know it is a case of waiting for court action now, but my questions relate to either paying up specifically at this stage or disclosing driver details to challenge in driver's name, no correspondence has been made so far with PPC so how could this be done?

you can name the driver and give NAP their details by writing to them and naming them at any time UP UNTIL THE MCOL is issued from Northampton CCBC

there is no "fine" , but there is a parking charge , or INVOICE

this can be negotiated by the apellant/defendant with the claimant at any time , even up to going into the actual courtroom (your local court)

a judge will allow evidence submitted 2 weeks or ore before any court hearing, they may allow videos in court, but certainly paper evidence including photographs

you cannot just rock up on the day with undisclosed evidence

being less than a minute is covered in the IPC CoP under grace periods , so intheory it should win in court , even a judge would take longer to park up , read the signs , and leave

it is thought that any initial grace period to comply or leave is between 5 and 10 minutes
