    Coeliac UK

What is the process of breaking gluten down to make Daura a suitable beer for coeliacs called?

answer: Enzymatic hydrolysation process or hydrolysis

Launched in 2006, Daura is the world's most award winning gluten free beer that maintains the flavour of real beers as it is made with the same main ingredient: barley malt. During the manufacturing phase the chain of gluten is broken through a process of hydrolysation. All batches are analysed and certified by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) before hitting the market to ensure that its gluten content is always below 3ppm (well below the 20ppm considered acceptable by the Codex Alimentarius for consumption by people with coeliac disease) and therefore ensuring absolute safety.

Three lucky winners will be sent a case of Daura (24 bottles).
