HMRC announces date for SA fix 6th Oct 17 at 2:29 PM
    https://taxagents.blog.gov.uk/2017/09/28/2016-17-self-assessment-sa-tax-calculator-fix-is-due-to-be-in-place-monday-23-october-2017-tax-agent-blog/

I tried a prototype and it processes Mrs. Polymaff's return correctly. There's a first.

The phrase believe it when I see it comes to mind. But glad it has sorted any issues you may have had.

Not everyone can benefit from the Personal Savings "Allowance" tax rate, so you may well not actually be getting this but have been taxed at the Savings starter rate (a different 0% tax band) which can be a maximum of £5,000 rather than the £1,000 PSA rate.
