When does credit rating update? 6th Oct 17 at 2:00 PM
    Hi everyone,
I have read online that credit scores typically update every month?

I cleared my credit card balance with Santander on 25th September, and I cleared my credit card with Tesco on 4th October.

I am obviously expecting the tesco one to stay on there until next month or so but I thought the Santander one would be showing as clear on my credit file by now? Can anyone give me some information on when they are updated?

In the middle of applying for a mortgage and I'm scared it's going to affect my application. Would my lender accept anything to show that I have cleared both of these if it does?

    Thanks in advance!

The files should update monthly. So you may have a week or so to go, depending on when your file is updated.

If the lender needs evidence of a cleared balance, provide them with a statement or similar.

It just depends how the dates fall.

Eg - If Santander update the CRAs on the 24th of the month then there will be a few weeks before it shows an accurate balance as the balance on the 25th September wouldn't be shared with the CRAs until the 24th October - then considering when the CRAs do your monthly report.
