So it would appear we have been accepted - odd it says they will be in touch?

I received a card from them last month. It took no longer than 7 days from application to receiving both the PIN and card. You can ignore most of their texts and emails about that process, apart from the one which contains your login information for online banking. As long as you've been accepted on-screen and completed any setup, you'll be up and running soon!
